Shekinah Mays
Owner/Artistic Director

Shekinah was born and raised in Florida. At the age of 9 years old she began dance lessons in ballet, jazz, and tap. Her interest and passion increased for dance and later joined Manatee School for Arts where her studies involved all genres of dance (ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop) including partaking in after school program the Carty Academy and other dance studios. She has participated in competitions, and many performances. At the age of 14 Shekinah joined Zoe Company and continued to dance with them for 15 years. In 2011 she was accepted into the dance program at Palm Beach Atlantic University and since then has graduated with her bachelor’s in Psychology. Shekinah has received a certification in Progressing Ballet Technique. Her passion and love for dance has grown into an opportunity to teach children in the community, including special needs children. As of March 2015 Shekinah along with her husband Adrian Mays, have dedicated their lives to teaching dance full time and have opened their own dance company called Kingdom Arts Academy. Their desire is to teach others how to use their gifts to make a difference in our world and to glorify God through the arts.

Emily Estelle
Dance Instuctor
Hello! My name is Emily Estelle
I’m so excited to be able to teach your kids!
I am a FL native and have been dancing since the age
of 2 years old. At the age of 6 I told my parents I
wanted to be a dance teacher, so it’s truly my dream to
teach and share my love of dance with kids!
Some of my biggest accomplishments are doing a
summer intensive with Joffrey School of Ballet in 2020,
Training with Sarasota Contemporary Dance for about
3 years, and doing a show with West Coast Black
Theater troupe!
